Last month we had a series of articles on apologetics entitled, “Why Should Anyone Believe Anything At All?” For July, we will continue with the theme of apologetics and dedicate an episode of the podcast to the subject.
In preparation for that episode I have been reviewing the works of one of the greatest Christian apologists of the 20th century, Cornelius Van Til. Below is a link to a pamphlet that we wrote where he has an imaginary dialogue with an unbeliever. This work is a good introduction to Van Til’s thought.
One of his closing statements gives you an idea of Van Til’s thinking.
I hold that belief in God is not merely as reasonable as other belief, or even a little or infinitely more probably true than other belief; I hold rather that unless you believe in God you can logically believe in nothing else.
